B-day continued
Then, that evening, we were back at the apartment getting ready for the next day when our door buzzer rang. 2 of the members, Monica & Marco brought us by 3 pizzas - one for each of us. That was way nice of them & the pizza was pretty good.

Overall, it was a really good B-day. Today was even better though. Mariano was baptised. He's really turned out to be a cool guy. He noticed that everyone in church wears a white shirt and tie - so he went out and bought a white shirt (he already had a tie) and wore them today to church. He fit right in. His baptismal service went quite well and it was very spiritual. I gave a talk about baptism & the holy ghost - but I secretly broke the member's boxes about their duty to help Mariano integrate himself into the church and to be his friend. Presidente Da Ponte baptised him. There were quite a few people there which made it even more special. After his baptism - he changed clothes and came back in to bear his first testimony. I was way surprised by how good and doctrinally correct it was. It was almost perfect. It really made me feel better about his knowledge and testimony of the Gospel. I really hope the branch accepts him and helps him to become a strong member. One of the coolest members, Massimiliano, after Mariano's baptism, gave him a picture of the Swiss Temple with a little note on the back. It was perfect, because his new objective will be to go there.

That was the first baptism of someone that I was teaching of my whole mission, so it was a special day for me too. But I'm really aware that I didn't really do anything in all this, I just acted along with 2 other great missionaries to do the Lord's will. Now we're working on getting Cheema there. There are my Zone Conf. notes on the previous few pages. It was a good Z.C. and I learned a lot. Especially from Sorella Curtis' 1st talk about Sacrifice. It was a great talk. Z.C. always refills my spiritual gas tanks. I can't wait for the next.
