BATTESIMO!!!!
Yes, today was Fernando's baptism. Everything worked out perfectly. The baptismal font went undiscovered the whole time. The Sacrament meeting was done by the primary and the theme was "preparing for and maintaining my baptismal covenants." PERFECT.

We (as a gospel principles class) had been preparing to sing a song in sacrament meeting: "Rischiara Padre Questo Mio Sentier" which we decided to sing instead as the closing song of the baptism. Katia expected to have to sing it during Sacrament meeting and was confused when it never got announced. At the end of Sacrament meeting Pres. Daponte stood up and announced the baptism. "We all know it, but Katia doesn't, that Fernando will be baptised today." Katia's eyes widened almost to the point where the balls fell out of their sockets. Then she broke down and just started bawling uncontrollably, but they were tears of joy.

Fernando looked good in white. I hope my camera worked. We sang a special musical number as missionaries while he changed after getting dunked. Then he gave a really heart-felt honest testimony and ended by saying "Ciao" instead of the usual. He still made everyone cry. Then we sang our song as a Gospel Principles class. It was really strong and came together well (Fernando cried throughout the song). Then Katia gave the closing prayer.

The best thing about this baptism is that I see a bright future for Fernando in the church. I see him as a father of future missionaries and a strong pillar to push the work in Trento forward. A good side note: Antonella had a solo in our song and mentioned that she really felt the spirit during the ceremony and "it made her think" - Speriamo bene.
