Sept. 1 2000:
Well, I must say that our work here is going excellently. Tonight we taught the lady who brought her family to church a 2nd discussion and she set a baptismal date for October 9th. She is just amazing. Very humble and honest with a great head on her shoulders. She said her family loved the church, but her daughter (14 yrs. old) is in her rebellious stage and wants nothing to do with religion. She said her husband hates all things to do with religion because of a bad past, but I think it will start with her and hopefully spread to the others. I just feel great - like the Lord has poured out blessings upon us. I also feel lucky to be in a place where the fruit is ripening and is almost to the harvesting point. I didn't plant it, but I'm happy to harvest it. (Hey - somebody's got to) |
