Discouragement = Turn to God |

Nov 3 - 2000 -
Today was a tough day - I got way discouraged for a little bit, but it turned out all right. We had 3 appointments w/ families. In the morning we met w/ some hyper catholic man that was full of contradictions and dogma - but whom at the end (Through much patience) felt the spirit.
Then that afternoon we met with another man in a nearby town who tried to confound us into thinking that God doesn't do anything good - it was a very contentious environment and we had to leave him w/ a condemning testimony.
Then we met w/ the Corradini's - who have a great love for the missionaries, but not for our message. We had a really open discussion w/ them, though, that went really well.
Before that appointment I was feeling really down because the day hadn't gone well and some really good appointments had cancelled on us too- I really felt discouraged - It was good though because it made me turn myself to God and realize that I needed to put more of my trust in Him and let Him support and carry me. It was a tough moment, but it helped me to be more humble in the long run.
