Finishing the Old Testament |

O.K. I was reading the scriptures this morning and I remembered an experience I had a few weeks ago: For about 6 months I had slowly been consuming the Old Testament, piece by piece. It was a tough read - especially during the parts pertaining to the law and ceremonies.
I did however find many interesting and entertaining stories and verses while reading. Well, I finally came to the day in which I read the final book of the Old Testament: Malachi - As I finished the final section about the coming of Elijah the prophet and the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers, I felt a strange and wonderful feeling enter into my body. It was a feeling of both peace and excitement and it made my heart seem to beat quickly.
As I was feeling this interesting sensation something seemed to impress upon my thoughts the idea that the Old Testament is a true book of scripture - I believe it was a spiritual confirmation of the truthfulness of that scripture.
