3 Weeks Left with the Curtis Family |

Well, today in church (our half-constructed church that is) the Curtis Family has the program. It was really great. I felt the Spirit really strongly. They have the best family- it seems almost picture perfect. The cool thing is that all of them are super spiritual ad really love the Lord and are dedicated to serving him. I'm really going to miss them when they go. I can't believe there're only 3 more weeks w/ them.
These last couple of weeks I have really been feeling strange. I haven't been feeling very spiritual at all. I've just been feeling really busy and stressed. I've been asking myself why I haven't been having more spiritual experiences. I don't want to be trunky - I want to be full of energy and excitement right through to the end, but lately I just haven't been feeling it. Recently, although, I have re-dedicated myself to studying the scriptures. I felt that was a big missing piece of my spirituality because I hadn't really had time (or made time) to study, really well, the scriptures. As a result I can see that I'm getting back on track spiritually. I felt refreshed from sacrament meeting and I've decided to really re-commit myself to do better and give all that I've got.
This last week we had a great experience. We showed up early to an appointment, so we had a few minutes to knock some doors in the area. One of the first doors we knocked let us right up. It was a cool Columbian family named Perez. The mother's name is Sandra and she was married to an Italian that brought her to Italy. She already had 2 children and with the Italian they has 2 twin girls. He turned out to be a drinker which led to their separation.
Now she lives with her 4 children and her mother. They are way humble and have really felt the spirit w/ us. We've invited them to do a family H.E. w/ the Rosa family this Wednesday and they are way excited. I hope it all goes well.
