"All that matters in missionary work"
SEPT. 18 2001 -

Well, yesterday we taught Eduardo the 2nd. He loved it, he kept telling us to move on while we were teaching because he has already understood. He set a baptismal date for the 29th of Sept. I felt kind of selfish because I suggested he do it before I leave - but I'd really like to be here for it. He's so Golden.

Today, even though it was a normal day was really awesome. Rarely have I felt the spirit so strongly. It really is all that matters in missionary work. We met 2 awesome people on the street. Neither had the possibility to meet us again, but both were left with a definite impression that God lives and we are his servants.

One lady had a pair of sky blue sunglasses and when she took them off, her eyes were just as strikingly blue (a rarity for Italians) - The other was a man at about 9:00 pm in an empty square of the city w/ a black leather jacket and zippers all over the place. We had just finished our first night of English class (which went very well) and we felt we needed to finish the night in Centro. It was worth it.
