Last Mission Journal Entry
OCT 4 2001

Well "Missionary Journal" now comes to an end. I just stepped off an 11 hour non stop flight to San Francisco. In the airport in Frankfurt I got separated from the group of missionaries I was with so I never really got to say goodbye to Elder Nebeker. Oh-well, we'll meet again.

My plan for this weekend is to make a mad pilgramage to Salt Lake City to watch Conference live. We'll see what Mom has to say about that.

Yes, I did watch both in-flight movies... I'm a sinner.

I did though, talk to a cool guy from Istanbul who is a Medical Surgeon. He says that Islam needs a restoration - Somebody like Calvin to bring it up to date and out of its strange ritualistic traditions. I told him our church was restored by God.

Right now, I don't know what to think - in some way life will go on. I've got to keep my spirituality level up so I don't get lost in this bitter capitalistic world. I hope the work in Italy continues to progress and I hope that Pres. Jensen's new fire will blow things up.

I hope I will live righteous and worthy to receive all of the blessings my Heavenly Father has promised me. I pray that the Holy Spirit will be my guide and help me back into the presence of my Father.

On the plane I finished my 10th reading of the Book of Mormon during my mission. As I read Moroni chapter 10, I felt once again the spirit confirm to my soul that it is a true and inspired book of scripture. May I never forget that.
