I meant to write last night, but my companion decided he wanted to wrestle with me for senior companionship. He weighs about half as much as me and has no wrestling experience, so I won...but it was fun. He's strong for his size. Anyway...after it was over he decided he'd "let" me have senior companionship...He He.

I got a great letter from Carrie the other day. Man! What a great girl! She is awesome. It was SO nice to hear from her, but it made me miss her a lot more too. I got my pictures developed from the couple of days I was in Utah before going into the MTC. And it was sad to see the picture of Carrie with tears in her eyes at the MTC. I put up all the pictures on my bulletin board above my desk. So it often reminds me of how homesick I am when I look at it every day.

I'm sitting in an LGM, but I'm not paying any attention. Just enough attention to get the gist, but nothing in depth. I just felt like writing in my journal.

I've had a very special opportunity this week. Our district has been working in the "Referral Center." The R.C. is the place where calls for free offers from the church are received. We get to talk w/ the callers, bear testimony & try to arrange a visit w/ the missionaries in their area.

It's really the only experience we get to deal with real people and have a REAL impact. It's a very neat experience. Some of the people can be pretty mean, but some of the people are really just waiting for something good to come along. I've had quite a few very good experienced w/ it, but it sucks because we only get to do it for this one week.
