1-2-2000 - FAST SUNDAY
Today has been normal so far. It was fast & testimony meeting in church & that went well. Our president (Paolo Giurelli) wasn't there along w/ a lot of members so Anz. Bowen had to preside. A family that used to go to the Ancona Ward a long time ago came today. The daughter was married to a guy who served his mission in southern Italy. It was interesting to talk to him.
Only one of our contacts showed up to church & she came very late. It's very frustrating when people don't keep their commitments. We also confirmed Katia as a member of the church and gave her the gift of the Holy Ghost. That was a neat spiritual experience & reminded me of the power and responsibility we hold as Elders and representatives of God.
We have the power to bestow upon something the most important gift they may ever receive. Wow.
- So tonight we ate at the phillipini's...I feel like I'm about to explode.
