Sunday Feb-6 - 2000:
Well, on Thursday we went to zone conference in Bologna. It was a great conference. You are able to learn SO much in those short couple of hours. I love zone conference. There are my notes from Z.C. on the next couple-a-pages. It's cool to see all the other missionaries at zone conference. I don't know a lot of them right now, but I imagine I will as time goes on.
We had a very cool experience in church today: We met a man a couple weeks ago named Sam. We only talked w/ him for a couple minutes on the street, but we did get his number. After a long time of trying to contact him, we finally made an appointment.
We met w/ him on Saturday and taught a first. (Sam is from Guyana and speaks English) The first went well. Sam is a good guy and very sincere in his desire to follow God. The next day was fast Sunday. Sam came. At the end of the meeting Sam came up and bore his Testimony - he said that he could tell that this is the Church of God and that Joseph Smith was the man who restored it. It was awesome.
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get a hold of Sam again to meet w/ him. |
